How to Use a Trailer to Launch Your Soft Hull Inflatable Boat
Important Notes
Bow Lift Handle:
The bow lift handle is intended for manual lifting only. Do not use the trailer winch to pull the boat by the bow lift handle.
Dry Surfaces:
If either the boat bottom or the trailer bunk is dry, do not pull the boat onto the bunk, as this could damage the boat bottom.
Adjusting Your Trailer for Your Boat
Adjusting the Trailer Rise Bar and Bunks:
Adjust the rise bar of the trailer and lift the bunks to ensure that the boat tubes do not come into contact with the trailer's wheel fenders.
Adjusting the Trailer Bow Stop:
Adjust the trailer bow stop to the correct position, making sure that the boat's transom is properly aligned with the trailer.
Connecting the Boat to the Trailer Winch
Use a three-point towing bridle to connect the boat to the trailer winch.
Important: If you experience difficulty moving the boat, use your hands rather than the winch, as all D-rings and handles are designed for manual use only.
Securing the Boat on the Trailer
Three-Point Towing Bridle:
Create a three-point towing bridle to securely connect your boat to the winch.
Transom Tie-Down:
Use transom tie-downs to firmly secure the boat's transom to the trailer.
Ratchet Tie-Down Strap:
Use a ratchet tie-down strap to securely fasten the front half of the boat to the trailer.
Motor Position:
Keep the motor in the down position and ensure that the motor bottom is at least 10 inches above the ground.
If the motor bottom is less than 10 inches from the ground, tilt the motor up and install a transom saver.
Launching and Retrieving Your Boat
When launching or retrieving your boat, always tilt the motor up to prevent any damage.
